The falcon chair was designed by Sigurd Ressell and manufactured by Vatne Möbler in Norway during the 1970s. It is the low back model. The frame made of bent beech wood offers a very high level of lying comfort: like in a hammock. The cushions are in the original brown leather. Below is a brown canvas.

Sigurd Ressell was inspired by the shape of a hawk's claw to create the iconic sculptural frame. The sling of fabric and leather draped over the frame is held in place by hooks securely fastened to the outer ends of the frame. The tan leather cushion then nestles seamlessly into the sling and is attached with two simple rivets.
