The LC6 Dining Table was designed in 1928 by the famous Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier and his design team Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. The design was first introduced at the Salon d'Automne exhibition in Paris in 1929. The design of the LC6 was inspired by the aerodynamic forms of aircraft wings and the functionality of industrial materials. The steel tubular legs in particular show how modern architecture and design were being redefined with industrial materials at the time.
